The Role In preparation for the upcoming peak season from September 2025 to April 2026, Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre seeks to hire an outstanding Assistant Centre Manager. Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, this role ensures the smooth operation of the facility in line with operational practices, contractual obligations, quality systems, legislative regulations, and industry guidelines. The Assistant Centre Manager will promote a customer-centric approach to programs and services, establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. You will collaborate with the Centre Manager to develop and manage the customer journey, focusing on growth, retention, and profitability through channel strategies. You will also oversee OHS processes and management systems provided by Belgravia Leisure and legislative requirements. This position requires demonstrating exceptional leadership, integrity, and commitment to team members and the community. Success in this role could lead to a career progression to a Centre Manager position. The role may require working weekends and additional hours during peak seasons. Key Accountabilities Ensure effective operation of the site staff to deliver a safe, patron-friendly environment always open for use. Manage sales, retention, guest experience, customer service, and health and fitness programs. Act on patron feedback to improve perceptions and site operations. Maintain the physical appearance and safety standards of the site, aiming for zero injuries. Adhere to OH&S processes and legislative standards. Support the Centre Manager in growing the membership base through lead generation and professional service. Essential Qualifications and Experience Management experience Financial management, especially sales, growth, and retention of memberships Background in Learn to Swim programming Experience in member sales, retention, and operations HR management experience Working with Children (or equivalent) National Police Check Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR Certificates Desirable Qualifications and Experience Over 3 years experience managing a leisure or similar facility Aquatics industry experience The Company Belgravia Leisure is part of the Belgravia Health and Leisure Group, Australia''s fastest-growing leisure organization, operating in health clubs, wellness, golf, aquatic, and sporting venues across Australia and New Zealand.
