A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityJoin the SSN AUKUS Build Program as anAssistant Project Accountant Cost and Estimating, supporting the development of cost estimates that inform both internal business decisions and Commonwealth deliverables. Youll work closely with stakeholders across the business to analyse scope, apply estimating techniques, and ensure accurate, timely, and well-documented estimates that support Australias most ambitious defence program.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of estimates using appropriate cost estimating techniquesAnalyse workscope and structure estimates within a logical Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)Apply financial/commercial factors to calculate pricing, including contingency and riskUse estimating tools such as ProPricer and @Risk to develop and document estimatesAssist in responding to estimate queries and supporting negotiations with the CommonwealthAnalyse cost variances and consolidate data to support estimate developmentMaintain estimating registers and support administrative tasksContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with business systemsPlease note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis.About YouTertiary qualifications in Commerce or AccountingStrong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software (e.g. ProPricer)Ability to communicate complex issues clearly, both verbally and in writingCollaborative mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationshipsResilience in working with evolving data and prioritiesHighly motivated and committed to delivering accurate estimating outputsEligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
