Apply now Job no: 503438Work type: PermanentLocation: South BrisbaneCategories: PharmacyMater Pharmacy is looking for a skilled, experienced clinical pharmacist to join our team as a permanent HP4 Senior Clinical Pharmacist position working in a full-time or part-time capacity in our Maternity Hospitals.Mater Health, South East Queensland comprises a unique collection of two public and four private hospitals at South Brisbane, Redland and Springfield caring for over 500,000 patients each year including the public and private Mater Mothers Hospitals, a premier womens health facility and Queenslands largest maternity care provider having over 10,000 births per year.Mater Pharmacy is dedicated to the exceptional care and service of all our patients and customers. We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service and strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism in all our services. In addition to clinical pharmacy services for patients of Mater Health, we provide traditional community pharmacy medicines and retail products to patients, visitors and staff.You will deliver high quality, evidenced-based clinical pharmacy services to a number of obstetrics and gynaecology areas including antenatal and postnatal inpatient wards, with the opportunity to also work in Special Care Nursey and Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery.This position will work closely with the Pharmacist Team Leaders and other Senior Pharmacists to ensure a high standard of service and continuity of care is provided by focussing on both clinical service provision and staff training & development. You will use high level knowledge, skills and experience to represent pharmacy and provide clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary team.What youll be doingIn this role you willperform a variety of roles within the team on a rotational basis to ensure a high-quality service is maintained across the relevant public and private inpatient areas listed above as well as the central dispensary from time to timeprovide mentoring, coaching and clinical education for less experienced pharmacists, technicians and students in order to help develop the knowledge base of the serviceactively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities and ensure these are integrated into clinical practice, and organisational workflowscontribute to the development of relevant policies, procedures and work instructionsrepresent pharmacy on relevant working groups and service level initiatives and communicate input and outcomes with pharmacy managementproviding medication related information, advice and support to the multidisciplinary teamability to work well in a team environment, contribute to strong safety culture and collaboration within the broader Mater Pharmacy team and with all Mater Health staff.The successful candidate will continue to contribute to the extended hours service for all our hospitals so the role will require you to participate in the evening, public holiday, weekend and on-call rosters.This represents a fantastic opportunity to make a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of this community and to contribute to a strong, unified, inter-professional Clinical Services team at Mater.About youTo be considered for this role you must have:Bachelor of Pharmacy and APHRA registration to practice as a pharmacist (without restrictions)Minimum of three years post registration experience as a clinical pharmacist.Prior demonstrated experience as a clinical pharmacist working in a variety of areas or clinical specialtiesANZCAP recognition at registrar or consultant level in a relevant specialty areaThe ability to work at our South Brisbane Mater Mothers Hospitals as well as Springfield (future maternity services)Were looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help shape the future of care.
