From procurement, execution and delivery through to completion, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality. You will have an understanding of the civil construction industry, its legislative framework and Australian Standards that apply to contracts, risk management and project managementWith demonstrated experience in civil projects and contract management you will play a pivotal role in project delivery in line with the Citys policies, frameworks, industry best practice and codes. You should have excellent communication and time management skills, and a valid C class Australian drivers licence. Local Government experience preferred but not essential.To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:Well-developed administrative and practical experience specifically in civil constructionDemonstrated experience in managing contractors and liaising with consultantsExperience with financial management of projects covering budgeting, cost control and reporting requirementsExperience in the production of high quality tender documents such as project scopes, specifications, contracts and estimatesStrong written and interpersonal skills, particularly verbal communicationStrong consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to engage an array of internal and external stakeholdersCompetent in implementation of and reviewing Work Health and Safety practices and documentationAbility to understand relevant Acts, Regulations, local laws, policies and relevant codesCurrent C class Australian drivers licenceDegree / Diploma or Trade qualification relevant to the position or project managementThis position offers a gross salary of $118,966 (Incl Super) and:The option to co-contribute up to a further 5% superannuationA variety of health and wellbeing programs - physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $200 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) servicesFlexible working arrangements, including rostered days off and two additional paid days of absence per annumA culture of learning with training/development opportunities, including paid study leave and study feesSalary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles, etc.An information package is available on our website.Applications will close without notice when the City considers it has a suitable pool of potential candidates or at 4:00pm, Thursday 31 July 2025 whichever occurs first.
