In theseLocal Area Coordinationroles, working in the region ofArmadale, you will be responsible for assisting people with disability, their families, and their carers to build and pursue their goalto live their best life, exercise choice and control, and engage with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Partners in Community.You will be responsible for:Assisting people with permanent and significant disability to apply for NDIS supports.Collaborating with participants to develop goalsConnecting people with disabilities to support within the local communitySupporting participants to navigate and optimise their engagement with the NDISImproving community knowledge of the NDIS and creating new opportunities to connect participants to services and supportMeeting identified contractual KPIsTo be successful in this roleYou are an approachable, positive,passionate,and respectful person who can build and nurture relationships easily and confidently. Strong personal values based on empathy and compassion, you understand the diverse needs of individuals within your local community and can coach,counsel,and connect people to identify and achieve the positive outcomes they desire.You will have:Demonstrated relevant experienceand/orlived experienceExperience in planning with people to achieve collaborative outcomesKnowledge of the local community and the available options for social & economic participation for people with disabilityDemonstrated computer skills including capability with Microsoft Office 365Currently hold or able to hold a Working with Children and or a Vulnerable People CheckBe rewarded for your successPerformance is part of our culture as is flexible working and variety.
