We are committed to delivering a holistic person-centered approach combined with a strong passion and focus on providing quality support and service excellence.Youll be proud of:Working for an organisation that helps build stronger communities.A diverse and inclusive culture.Salary Packaging Benefits Package up to $15,900pa of your pre-tax salary to pay for everyday expenses and benefit from a $2,650 meals and entertainment card before income tax is calculated, increasing your take home pay.Employee Assistance ProgramProfessional Development internal and external training and development opportunitiesJob DescriptionThe NDIS Support Worker role is responsible forproviding high-quality person-centered support to participants on the NDIS Scheme including social, community & recreational participation, in-home support & daily living activities.In this role you will:Provide a standard of care that ensures the highest level of dignity, privacy, and respect for the individual always, adhering to principles and standards of NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)Undertake personal care tasks, such as dressing, toileting and feeding; light housework duties; social support and community access, other services as required by the care plan.To support the individual to achieve optimal independence, control, and participation within their service provisionProvide appropriate support and care as identified by the individual, family, and the program coordinator within the client service plan.Support the individual to actively participate in desired community activities.To support the client to maintain optimal health and well-being via the performance of identified tasks.To maintain time sheets, session records and other records as requestedSubmit all records at the designated times.Ensure all documentation is undertaken and maintained in conjunction with Creating Links policies and proceduresEnsure that the human rights of clients are observed and always upheldMandatory reporting of suspected abuse in line with relevant legislationImplementation of Child protection policy and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and reporting guidelinesDesired Skills and ExperienceWe are interested in people who have:Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Community Services Studies, or related fieldsExperience in direct service provision for either individual with disabilities and their familiesGood verbal and written communication skills.A commitment to the rights of individuals with disabilities and people over 65.Ability to work flexible hoursKnowledge and understanding of the principles of person-centred care and enablementCurrent First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one within three months of commencing employment.A knowledge and commitment to the principles of normalisation, and to the National Disability Services Standards, Disability Inclusion Act 2014, and Home Care StandardsUnderstanding of child protection and mandatory reporting legislation and guidelines.Class C Driver''s Licence, ability to drive company vehicles including 12-seater van.Own car with comprehensive car insurance.Valid Working with Children Check ClearanceNational criminal Records History Check.Knowledge of current Work Health and Safety Legislation.Covid-19 VaccinationsAn understanding and appreciation of the issues affecting people with a disability, the ageing population, and their families.Computer LiteracyFluency in a second relevant community language as well as English. #J-18808-Ljbffr
