About the Opportunity: Education Support Officers (ESOs) collaborate within a multidisciplinary team at Hester Hornbrook Academy to deliver specialized literacy and numeracy assistance, tailored to meet the unique educational needs of students. They conduct educational assessments and interventions, ensuring personalized support for each student''s well-being and learning outcomes. Our ideal candidate will be able to successfully demonstrate the following key skills and attributes: Work as part of a multidisciplinary classroom team to develop and maintain a face-to-face and virtual classroom environment that promotes learning, wellbeing, and respect. Provide individual or group assistance to students in literacy and numeracy, including Tier 3 interventions when needed. Deliver programs within the framework of Hester Hornbrook Academy, maintaining confidentiality and dignity of students. Use data to inform practice, manage interventions, and improve student outcomes, including recording interventions and screeners, and managing data entry. Apply understanding of HOPE (Healing Orientated Program of Education) to support student engagement, inclusion, rapport building, and prosocial development. Contribute to planning and participate in extracurricular activities, events, excursions, and camps. Maintain accurate records using the school''s management systems, including wellbeing case notes and reports (e.g., NCCD). Participate in supervision, meetings, professional learning, and continuous improvement processes aligned with strategic plans. Adhere to Child Safe, risk management, and Hester Hornbrook documentation standards. Perform additional duties as directed by the Principal or delegate.
