Listed By: Townsville Hospital and Health Service on 15 Jul 2025Clinical Psychologist - Senior (Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit)Location:The opportunityThe key purpose of this position is to provide a high level of clinical psychological practice to consumers under the Mental Health Act in the Secure Mental Health Unit, along with clinical leadership and consultation to the multidisciplinary team, including active contribution to education and research activities.The Alec Illin Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit delivers effective mental health care in a safe and secure environment, balancing society''s safety expectations with consumers'' rights to the least-restrictive treatment options. The unit provides a secure, structured environment for rehabilitation.Whats on offer?Permanent Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight.Remuneration package of up to $157,360 p.a., comprising a base salary range of $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).Staff wellness programsSupportive workplace environmentAccess to corporate discountsRole requirementsThe successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.Possession of a Master''s or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution, or significant progress towards this, would be highly regarded.Current enrolment, or completion of an accredited PsyBA Supervision course, or eligibility to obtain Board-Approved Supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia would be highly regarded.While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2000 would be well regarded.This position requires the incumbent to hold a C class motor vehicle licence.Working for Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS)At Townsville HHS, our vision is world-class healthcare for northern Queensland.
