Join our passionate library teams and play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our libraries!About the roleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Library Administration Officer to provide high-level administrative support across multiple libraries within the City of Canning.This is a varied and busy role where no two days are the same! From essential administrative support, to purchasing and record keeping, to coordinating maintenance requests, your strong organisational skills and initiative will help keep our libraries running smoothly and seamlessly.Reporting to the Coordinator Library Services this is a permanent, part-time position (0.5 FTE, 76 hours over a 4 week period) in a welcoming and thriving local council. If you want to work for your community and support vibrant and inclusive libraries, read further and apply now!What youll be doing in the roleProviding high-level administrative support to the Citys library teams across multiple locationsEnsuring accurate record keeping across all libraries and daily income receipting and reportingPurchasing general office and library supplies to support library services and operationsCoordinating servicing and maintenance of office and library equipmentActing as contact point for minor building maintenance and liaising with contractors and vendorsHandling general library queries and customer correspondence, as well as recording and reporting on customer feedbackProviding responsive, solutions-focused support to library staff and stakeholders and assisting in continuous improvement effortsProducing miscellaneous documents and reports, as required for the library business areaWhat you can bring to the role Were after someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Youll need to be confident navigating systems, comfortable handling procurement and financial records, and proactively helping customers and stakeholders.
