We are seeking several experienced Laboratory Technicians to join our team that strives to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with their clients. Successful candidates may have just completed their Science Degree or TAFE Laboratory skills and are looking to utilise their practical laboratory experience in a working laboratory.These roles are fast paced and require you to work at speed with accuracy. Experience in hospitality where you have juggled multiple tasks and followed processes is desirable.The day to dayPreparation and analysis of soil, water, and sediment weighing, digesting, titrating, or solvent extraction of samplesEnsuring that preparation and analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work InstructionsOrganising designated tasks to maximise daily efficienciesCompleting all tasks within both the timeframe set by the Supervisor and the relevant analysis standardHighlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviourThe EssentialsA genuine interest in the Science industryEither TAFE or University qualificationsA desire to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environment, with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experienceExcellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skillsDedication to good laboratory practices with regard to quality of results and health and safetyFlexibility to work public holidays and weekend shifts if requiredWillingness to be cross trained in other sections of the laboratoryDedication to go the extra mile, be solutions driven and ensure there is no compromise on qualityWorking at ALSThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.At ALS, youll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
