We offer flexible work practices, on-the-job training, and a supportive environment to help you succeed.What Youll DoProvide clerical and administrative support to solicitors and legal staff in the Open Government, Information and Privacy Unit, DCJ Legal (OGIP), for the processing and determination of applications under the following legislation/schemes:Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA).Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIPA).Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (HRIPA).National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2018.Subpoena work and other statutory applications in relation to the provision of information.You Will AlsoReview and register a high volume of applications received under the above outlined legislative schemes.Respond to telephone and email enquiries from internal and external clients in a professional, compassionate and responsive manner.Provide accurate word-processing and data entry services, draft correspondence, such as, letters, emails, and related documentation in line with Departmental approved style guidelines and policies/procedures.Assist with financial management processes including the creation of invoices and banking monies received.What Were Looking ForEnsure that internal communications are clear, concise, and relevant to the audience.Handle and resolve complex enquiries to ensure accurate information and timely resolution, especially regarding compliance.Clear and professional interaction with various stakeholders and handling sensitive information with confidentiality.Download the role description.To apply directly via the DCJ Careers site click here.
