Western Health invites applications for the ACIS Team Leader role to oversee our Acute Community Intervention Service (ACIS) Team. This is a key leadership position focused on delivering recovery-oriented, person-centred care to people experiencing acute mental health challenges.About The RoleThis full-time position, with an Accrued Day Off (ADO), offers operational and clinical leadership of the ACIS Team. You will manage team performance, provide clinical guidance, and ensure effective coordination of acute community interventions and crisis response. Your role includes staff supervision, fostering professional development, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen service integration and client outcomes.Working in a demanding, fast-paced environment, this role requires a leader who can balance strong clinical expertise with operational oversight. The position operates Monday to Friday during standard business hours.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise, and provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary ACIS Team.Ensure timely, thorough assessments and risk management consistent with acute care needs.Oversee crisis response and provide ongoing support to clients during acute mental health episodes.Collaborate with health, community, and social services to optimise care pathways and outcomes.Drive continuous service improvement and support professional growth of team members.About YouRelevant professional registration and extensive experience in your discipline, including leadership responsibilities:Registered Psychiatric Nurses: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and hold a relevant mental health nursing qualification. You will have at least 5 years experience in public mental health, with a minimum of 2 years in leadership, coordination, or senior clinical roles involving significant clinical responsibility.Occupational Therapists: Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) and hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in mental health, including at least 2 years in a leadership, coordination, or senior clinical role.Psychologists: Hold current general registration with AHPRA, a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, and an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology. Approved supervisor registration with the Psychology Board of Australia for Higher Degree Students and Registrars. You will have at least 5 years experience as a psychologist, including 2 years in leadership, coordination, or senior clinical roles with significant clinical oversight.Social Workers: Possess an approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership.
