This is not just a compliance roleits a strategic, high-impact position at the intersection of governance, innovation, and performance.Location: Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, NewcastleYoull partner closely with executives, business area leaders, and project teams to embed best-practice risk and opportunity thinkingshaping how we manage uncertainty, seize opportunity, and deliver with excellence.You will embed risk and opportunity management into the lifecycle of LMAs major programs to enable informed decision-making and performance assurance.Lead end-to-end risk and opportunity management across priority programs, aligned with AS ISO 31000 and ASDEFCON.Provide governance, guidance, and coaching to Program Manager, IPTs, and developing risk managers on identifying, evaluating, and managing program risks.Represent risk and opportunity positions in internal and customer-facing program reviews, and advise and partner with executives, project teams, and customer stakeholders on risk-related decision-making.Develop and present program-level dashboards, trends, and risk health metrics that drive insight and action.Drive a portfolio view of risk and opportunity performance for LMA Enterprise Operations and each of the Business Areas.Engage with Programs and related Business Areas to support bid and proposal activity by embedding risk planning and cost/schedule/technical mitigations into submissions.Ensure high-quality risk and opportunity management products and services meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements (AS31000, COSO).Enterprise Risk Management - Shape and Govern Strategic Risk ThinkingYou will be a strategic partner to LMAs executive leadership, ensuring enterprise-level risks are governed effectively, surfaced transparently, and acted upon with rigour.Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to the LMA Director for Program Performance, Quality, and Operations in ERM.Coordinate and facilitate ERM Working Groups and the ERM Board, ensuring governance forums are well-prepared and insight-driven.Maintain LMAs Enterprise and Board-level Risk and Opportunity Register, ensuring currency, relevance, and strategic alignment.Collaborate with business leaders to assess, escalate, and monitor enterprise-wide risks and opportunities, including interdependencies.Develop enterprise risk insights to inform business planning, investment, and strategic decision-making.Capability Building Enable Risk Maturity and Organisational ConfidenceYou will lead and uplift the risk management culture, capability, and systems across LMA.Maintain and continuously improve the LMA Risk Management Framework, including integration across program and enterprise layers.Lead the Risk Management Community of Practice, facilitating knowledge-sharing, coaching, and uplift of practitioner skills.Drive adoption of digital risk tools and dashboards (e.g., Active Risk Manager), enabling real-time insights and self-service analytics.Conduct targeted training, workshops, and reviews to build capability and consistency in risk practices across functions.Support LMAs broader continuous improvement agenda by embedding risk thinking into business processes and innovation initiatives.Align tools, templates, and terminology across enterprise and program risk to ensure a consistent experience for users and stakeholders.About you:Extensive experience in Program and the ability to bridge your strategic mindset across Enterprise Risk ManagementProven leadership in driving governance, insight, and performance across both delivery teams and executive forums.Expert knowledge of AS ISO 31000, COSO, and ASDEFCON risk requirements.Highly effective communicator and influencerable to navigate senior stakeholder environments and build strong cross-functional relationships.Tertiary qualifications from an accredited institution in Risk Management, Enterprise Excellence or a related discipline.Special Requirements:Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.What we offer you:When you join Lockheed Martin, you work on projects you wont experience anywhere else.
