The role will be responsible for coding personal injury claims for the QLD, ACT and SA CTP team You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that offer a flexible working environment.The role is based primarily based Brisbane however, consideration of the right candidate will be given if they reside in another State.This is a permanent, part-time role working 22.5 hours per week.What Youll DoSupport the CTP claim process, by reviewing, analysing, interpreting and accurately classifying injuries using the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) 2008 ed. system in accordance with legislative requirementsConduct audits of claims to check coding accuracyProvide regular reports on coding data accuracyPerform administrative tasks that support the provision of professional coding and conductSupport and develop a collaborative work environment to achieve team and division goalsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with the Claims staff and across the divisionParticipate in strategic planning processes and complete identified projects/tasksAny other work as delegated by LeaderSkills & ExperienceBachelor of Health Science (Majoring in Health Information Management) or allied health qualification is mandatoryAIS 08 and/or AIS 15 qualification (preferred)Excellent analytical skills including the ability to develop solutions and courses of action by identifying key issues and determining cause-effect relationshipsExceptional attention to detailSuperior written & verbal communication skillsStrong time management skill and ability to prioritiseAbility to be flexible, learn quickly, and adapt easily within a dynamic work environmentProficient keyboard skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office applicationsExperience in a medical coding role or with a Personal Injury Insurer highly desirableWhat We Can Offer YouSuncorp''s employee benefits are designed to support, empower and reward our people.
