A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityJoin the SSN AUKUS Build Program as a Senior Project Accountant - Cost and Estimating, where youll lead the development of direct and indirect estimates that support internal decision-making and external submissions to the Australian Submarine Agency. This is a business-partnering role requiring strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of estimators while engaging with stakeholders across the business.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver internal and external estimates using appropriate cost estimating techniquesEnsure correct application of pricing terms and conditions (e.g. indexation, forex, profit)Partner with stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate, relevant, and well-documentedLead the estimating aspect of bids and ensure adherence to governance and processSupport negotiations and queries from the CommonwealthDrive continuous improvement in estimating capability and toolsManage and develop a team of estimators, setting clear expectations and supporting growthContribute to organisational change and culture initiativesPlease note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis.About YouTertiary qualifications in Commerce or AccountingFull or part membership in ASCPA, ICA, CIMA or equivalentExperience in financial management and cost estimatingAdvanced Excel and Power BI skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProactive and solutions-focused with strong time managementExperience with Primavera P6 (desirable)This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
