You will be given on the job training with the view to building autonomy in scoping and leading geotechnical field investigations, while being supported in your development of geotechnical interpretation skills and an integral part of the team.In this role you will:Work in a collaborative team environmentScope and supervise field investigations, working with our trusted drillers to achieve the required project outcomesInterpret the results of insitu and laboratory testing and log soils in accordance with AS 1726 Geotechnical Site InvestigationsPrepare factual and interpretive geotechnical reports with support from senior members of the Geotechnical Team as requiredIntegrate with project teams from a variety of disciplines across the business to ensure geotechnical findings are appropriately incorporated into Tonkin designsProvide engineering services, technical input and direction in geotechnical designAbout You:To be successful in this role, you will be a graduate or early career geotechnical engineer with 2-3 years of full or part time fieldwork supervision experience and be eager to apply/develop fieldwork supervision and geotechnical engineering skills to projects across the water, transport and local government disciplines, as well as:Strong organisation and report writing skillsA team first mentality with excellent collaboration skills and a safety focus.A positive, flexible and versatile approach to the wide variety of tasks you will be involved with.The Tonkin difference:We know people perform at their best when they enjoy coming to work.At Tonkin we offer you the opportunity to work with leading industry experts in a genuinely supportive and caring environment.
