With global expertise, we manage 51.5km of track and 21 stations, with a planned expansion into southwest Sydney.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWe have temporary opportunity for a experienced Payroll Officer to join our payroll team on a 3 month contract. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, this role will be instrumental in supporting payroll processing for the fortnightly pay-run utilising ADP.The role will interpret EBAs and awards, process manual timesheets and be proactive in learning new systems in an outsourced payroll environment.Key Responsibilities IncludeMaintain employee payroll records in compliance with relevant Acts, Awards, Enterprise Agreements or ContractsCalculating and applying pay adjustments such as allowances, leave, overtime, penalty rates, higher duties, deductions and incrementsPerform manual integrations across systemsPerform manual calculations inclusive of ETPs and RedundanciesOrganising set up for payment to super funds inclusive of self- managedKnowledge of recovery process for overpayments and YTD adjustmentsProduce and provide reports as requiredUnderstand and be abreast of changes to employee entitlements, government initiatives and taxation, superannuation and employment legislation as it applies to payrollRespond to a broad range of payroll queries and requests in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure pay advice and record keeping is maintained and issued in accordance with requirements under the Fair Work Act.Desired Skills And ExperienceAbout YouYou have 2-5 years demonstrated payroll processing experience in small or large organisations with strong experience in interpreting EBAs and awards in an out-sourced payroll setting. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you enjoy continuous learning opportunities and willing to learn new system(s). You have strong attention to detail with experience working to tight deadlines while delivering excellent customer service to your internal customers.Experience in time and attendance is ideal with experience in manual timesheets. Intermediate experience with EXCEL will be beneficial.This is a hybrid flexible position with set days in the office (usually Mon- Wed) to enable effective payroll processing.It all starts with our people.
