Youll work within the Nuclear IPT, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for licensed nuclear operations.ResponsibilitiesSupport design, construction, and commissioning phases with nuclear engineering expertise.Participate in assurance and compliance activities, contributing to licensing documentation.Collaborate with NSQEPs, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues.Identify and implement improvements in nuclear facility engineering processes and documentation.Maintain facility-related nuclear documentation under configuration control.Assist in identifying and managing nuclear-related risks associated with facility build and operations.Please note: Availability for collaboration calls outside normal working hours (UK timezone) is required. Periodic domestic and international travel may also be required on an ad hoc basis.About YouTertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or related Engineering discipline.5+ years experience in nuclear, defence, or highly regulated engineering environments.Knowledge of nuclear safety, security, and safeguards principles.Familiarity with systems engineering, requirements management, and regulatory frameworks.Strong technical writing and documentation skills.Experience in submarine or naval nuclear programs.Exposure to safety case development and licensing submissions.Experience with configuration management and technical assurance processes.Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
