To have a chance of joining CELINE, you must thrive as a team player in a fast-paced environment amongst passionate, agile, and authentic people.YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENTReporting to the General Manager, SEAO, this leadership role will be responsible for driving brand performance and managing all retail and operational initiatives in South-east Asia. The Retail Director will focus on building and leading the retail function of CELINE, to ensure that the retail stores provide a holistic client experience and meet/exceed business targets.Your impactBRANDAct as brand ambassador, actively promote the brand in the local marketsPropose and effectively implement local marketing, customer relation/VIP strategies to drive a positive exposure to the brand imageNurture relationship with business community and competitionBuild brand visibility towards new and existing customers through partnership with clienteling on strategies and initiativesBUSINESSAccountable for all store performance including improving operating efficiency, clienteling excellence, in-store sales and margin improvementsAnalyze business performance and identify growth opportunities through retail insights on competition, tourism and consumer trendsDevelop and implement commercial action plan to grow the business e.g., targeting clientele categories, incentive programs, store openings/relocations and closures if necessaryLiaise with merchandising on buys; provide feedback and communication for product development and assortmentPartner Clienteling & Loyalty Manager on Clienteling strategies and initiativesEnsure efficient reporting and presents the ability to present performance analytics, forecasting and budgetingParticipate in lease discussions and negotiations with landlordsTEAMCommunicate vision, strategy and clear directions to retail teamEnsure adequate staffing through recruitment, rotation, mobility, training and development in collaboration with the HR team.Build and foster a positive, engaging selling culture of high performers through continuous coaching and regular feedback sessionsSupport store leaders in developing staffing strategies and drive development plans for store teamsCollaborate with Retail Training to ensure proper training on products, customer service and selling skillsOPERATIONSEnsure standards of housekeeping and merchandising are always well maintainedPlan and take necessary steps to have optimum stock levels, appropriate merchandise mix and correct inventory control; maintain inventory discrepancies at the lowest possible level.Implement and support all safety and security measuresInvestigate and report on any occurrence outside normal eventskeys for success12 to 15 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in retail management & operationsStrong leadership with the ability to develop, motivate and influenceExcellent understanding of the Luxury Sector ideally across OceaniaStrong understanding of Retail landscape amongst competitorsStrong Client centric mind and clienteling abilityWell versed with Retail operational topicsStrong business acumen, analytical and results drivenStrong collaboration skills and ability to work cross department and stakeholdersStrong organization and communication skillsInterstate travel and occasional international is requiredCOMPETENCESEntrepreneurial spirit and ability to embrace changeCreativity and innovative mindsetDrive for business excellencePeople-centric performance managementOUR COMMITMENTCELINE is an equal opportunity employer.
