This is who we are and could be yours.We build a better world when we work together.Each of us contributes to Our Purpose, whether we are designing more energy efficient facilities, building more sustainable infrastructure, managing the IT infrastructure needed to communicate with employees and teams across the world; or volunteering in the communities where we live and work.Principal Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide support to business and execution units in the formation of prime contracts, including participating in the proposal, prime contract review, joint venture and/or subcontract partnering, and risk assessment processFacilitate smooth transition from Award to Execution with the support of the Project team throughout life of a risk projectCoordinate with the Legal Department and Insurance and Risk Management Group to obtain and provide information regarding commercial issues; coordinate with Project Controls and Project Business Services on commercial issuesReview project correspondence to ensure Fluors rights are protected and that it is consistent with the terms of the prime contractAssist in review and updating the Contract Summary throughout the projectParticipate in functional management team reviewsEnsure compliance with management of vital records and relevant correspondence to support reporting, contract audit, claims and litigations, and contract close outProvide contracts reviews/audits to projects to identify potential contracts problems and process improvement opportunitiesAssist in the development and implementation of systems and resources necessary to make improvementsProvide claim support and resources to project teams to prepare and negotiate claims as requiredReport performance data to the functional management for use in maintaining contracts metricsCoordinate with Project Controls and Project Business Services on commercial issuesInterface with senior level clients, joint venture, and industry organisation professionals while carrying out Companys contracts activitiesProvide input to the Project Completion Report on Prime Contract ManagementTrack Prime Contract Notice Requirements, give timely notice, and initiate actions required to follow-up when requiredParticipate in Business Risk Management Framework (BRMF) reviews and functional management team reviewsRead, understand, and administer the legal nuances and terms of the prime contractAssist in reviewing or writing formal correspondence to Clients to ensure contract complianceFollow the Disputes process as defined by the Prime to track and administer throughout the project, while working with LegalWork with Director (Prime Contract Management), Legal, senior management, and the Client for all contract modifications to the Prime ContractLeverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locationsAnalyse situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend /implement appropriate course of actionBasic Job RequirementsPreferred Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & SkillsAccredited degree in law, commerce / business, engineering, construction management or cost engineering or equivalent experienceRequires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and management of contracts and subcontractsUnderstanding and experience with multinational business and major projects environmentsExperience in pricing, contracts law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders (PDNs), risk identification and mitigation, effective correspondence, planning, and schedulingProficiency in the formation and administration of prime contracts and subcontracts through the several steps of bidder pre-qualification, compilation of bid requests, receipt of bids, bid evaluation, award, monitoring the performance of contractors, back charge procedures, resolution of claims and disputes, and other such related stepsDemonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities suitable for working effectively in a matrix organisation and leading a workforce comprised of many nationalities and backgroundsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including: management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholdersAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.Why FluorBeing part of a truly global company, working on Tier 1 billion-dollar projects plus a significant project pipeline here at Fluor, we offer a rewarding long-term career and ongoing opportunities for development, all within a culture that truly values your contributions.
