The RLC sits within the Property Councils national advocacy team and is the most powerful voice of the sector, representing national retirement village and seniors living community operators.Position purposeDrive strong commercial performance, build stronger commercial alignment across the country, deliver exceptional member services for RLC members, and contribute to the Property Councils commercial and strategic priorities for retirement living.Key responsibilitiesDesign and implement membership growth and retention strategies including development of marketing collateral. Oversee the design and implementation of strategic member marketing program that communicates our value to members.Secure partners and sponsors for the RLC.Develop, negotiate and manage proposals/agreements/entitlements.Source and secure sponsorship revenue for the National Retirement Living Summit and National Retirement Living Awards program.Plan and deliver the Divisions events program that supports the advocacy agenda.Lead the National Retirement Living Awards program.Oversee and support the Commercial Assistant in the management of nominations, award entrants and the judging process.Develop and manage an annual Division budget in conjunction with the RLC Executive Director.The ideal candidate will haveA minimum of 5 years experience in successful new business development, conversion, negotiation and selling.A minimum of 5 years experience in event and/or awards managementExperience in preparing reports, analysing financial statements and accounts.Proven skills in building quality relationships and engaging/managing stakeholders effectively.Experience in using a CRM. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics an advantage.Superior writing, presentation and verbal communication skills across a range of formats for senior audiences (including ability to write internal and external promotional copy and collateral)Strong self-starter with ability to initiate work and manage performance to meet accountabilities and deadlines.Experience in using Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.Broad general knowledge of the retirement living sector (a distinct advantage).
