You will work withexecutives, senior leaders and other stakeholders to understand the challenges andopportunities for Data at SiteMinder. You will partner with operational functions such as Sales, Product, Finance and Strategic Operations to deeply understand their needs and provide strategic advice and support.You will apply your extensive expertise to design a future state data architecture and operating model that unlocks the potential of our data. You will deliver a comprehensive program of work which includes reporting, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, engineering and data governance initiatives that make progress towards the future state while delivering wins along the way. The impact of your work will be felt by customers in the form of improved products and services, our staff in the form of enablement and operational effectiveness and ultimately the SiteMinder business in the form of acceleration of the strategy.You will grow data and artificial intelligence capability within your global team to ensureSiteMinder has the know-how required to succeed with data.This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer and require strong engagement with all executives and senior leaders, particularly the Chief Executive Office, Chief Data Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Chief of Strategic Operations.What youll doDevelop the Data strategy and roadmapDevelop SiteMinders data strategy in collaboration with executives and seniorleaders.Develop a roadmap that delivers the strategy, balancing costs and benefits formaximum impact.Be a thought leader for Data and Artificial Intelligence.Be a trusted partner for our business functionsDevelop trusted working relationships with executives and senior leaders.Deeply understand stakeholder pain points and future needs.Take a customer centric approach to prioritisation and resource allocation.Deliver impactful data initiatives that bring the strategy to lifeWork with your team, partners and across the business to deliver a complexportfolio of initiatives.Carefully manage the rollout with appropriate quality checks, training and changemanagement.Deliver predictably on time and on budget.Track real impact and experienced benefits to ensure end to end successBusiness intelligence & analyticsBuild and maintain a suite of trusted reports that enables SiteMinder to operateeffectively from a consistent source of truth.Enable our distributed analytics operating model with reliable data and dataservices.Partner with business owners and distributed analytics leaders and analysts tobuild a community of practice and encourage connectivity and consistency.Establish a data governance function to improve data quality and consistency.Data EngineeringBuild, maintain and operate our data platforms which are based on Snowflakeand Databricks.Deliver on our data architecture strategy, which includes consolidating to oneplatform and building a robust medallion architecture to enable downstream datause cases.Collaborate with our platform and engineering teams to ensure the data platformis built to SiteMinders high standard.Maintain SLAs for the platform and operational reports.Manage issues and incidents in a proactive manner.Optimise operational spend, negotiate contracts and manage vendors.Build an effective global data teamLead a growing team of approximately 25 people, which are located in multiplecountries.Line manage, mentor and support your team to drive performance.Build and develop your team to improve capability.What you haveExtensive years of experience in Data Engineering & Analytics, with at least with wide experience in leadership roles.Extensive expertise in architecting, building, integrating and operating modern clouddata platforms (e.g. AWS, Snowflake, Databricks).Track record delivering complex programs of work.Passion for driving innovation in Data to deliver real impacts.Customer centric mindset.Strong stakeholder management skills and comfortable partnering with executives.Proven track record in building and scaling globally dispersed data teams.Strong experience in hiring, mentoring and leading high-performing teams.Our Perks & Benefits- Mental health and well-being initiatives- Generous parental (including secondary) leave policy- Flexibility to work in a Hybrid model (2-3 days in-office)- Paid birthday, study and volunteering leave every year- Sponsored social clubs, team events, and celebrations- Employee Resource Groups (ERG) to help you connect and get involved- Investment in your personal growth offering training for your advancementDoes this job sound like you?
