General Manager Port & Rail | Hancock Iron OrePort Hedland Residential or FIFO ex Perth | Family-friendly 4:3 rosterIn partnership with Hancock Iron Ore, we are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to step into the role of General Manager Port & Rail. This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of one of Australias most strategic mining logistics operations and help shape its future.As General Manager, youll lead a high-performing and diverse team across Hancock Iron Ores integrated port and rail operationscritical assets connected to the Roy Hill mine via a 344km heavy haul railway and delivering over 65 million tonnes per annum. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and plays a key part in driving operational excellence, safety leadership and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Champion safety and performance across port and rail operationsLead and coach a multi-disciplinary team to drive throughput and qualityImplement strategic and operational initiatives aligned to company goalsCultivate collaboration across technical, site-based and partner teamsWhat We''re Looking For:Proven senior leadership experience in complex logistics, infrastructure, or large-scale port and/or rail operationsSound commercial acumen with demonstrated results in dynamic environmentsTechnical proficiency and ability to influence across multiple disciplinesStrength in building positive culture through coaching and developmentQualifications & Skills:Degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience and trainingPostgraduate qualifications in business or management (desirable)Strong understanding of legislation and industry best practiceSkilled in data analysis, reporting and team collaborationAbout Hancock Iron Ore:Hancock Iron Ore was formed through the merger of Atlas Iron and Roy Hill, creating a more resilient and forward-looking resources business.
