Group and Team: Infrastructure and Assets and City InfrastructureLocation: Clearys GatesEmployment status: Permanent 1.0 FTEClassification: Municipal Officer Level 2Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024Salary range: $74,667 to $88,305 per annum + 13% superannuation.About The RoleThis role contributes to the success of the City by supporting the effective planning and delivery of civil infrastructure maintenance across the Hobart municipal area. The Civil Support Officer is responsible for scheduling routine and reactive maintenance works for roads and drainage, preparing traffic management plans and guidance schemes, and administering minor contracts.Role Accountabilities IncludeDeveloping and maintaining accurate schedules for maintenance works using Conquest Asset Management System.Supporting resource allocation for scheduled tasks.Preparing Traffic Management Plans and Guidance Schemes.Assisting with minor contract works such as road de-icing, line marking, and asphalt patching.Supporting permit preparation, risk assessments, and safety documentation.Assisting in reporting on maintenance performance and asset condition.Learn more about the role in the position description: Civil Support Officer Position Description.About YouYou are a highly organised and proactive individual with practical experience in works planning and scheduling, ideally within a local government or utility environment. You bring strong administrative skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset. You are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and asset management systems, and you demonstrate the behaviours outlined in the City of Hobart Capability Framework.Essential Qualifications And Experience IncludeExperience in planning and scheduling civil works.Strong administrative and organisational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Effective communication skills.Current Driver Licence.Desirable AttributesCertificate III or IV in Civil Construction, Business Administration, or related fields.Experience with Traffic Management Plans and asset management systems.Traffic Management Designer qualifications.Understanding of local government processes and safety standards.About UsThe City of Hobart offers something for everyone, with connections between nature, history, culture, businesses and each other.
