OPEN-CUT COAL MINE OPERATORS (Rix''s Creek Mine)About The RoleThe Bloomfield Group is looking for operators to work at its Rixs Creek Mine. Operators are responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by taking personal responsibility for managing themselves and undertaking all work in a safe and effective manner utilising relevant skills and competencies. The successful applicants will operate a range of large earthmoving equipment which may include excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, blast hole drills, and dump trucks.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, effective & efficient operation of heavy mining equipment in line with procedures & operational requirementsEnsure reasonable targets are met with safety as the priorityPerform pre-start inspections of machinery and necessary documentation as per operational requirementsCommunicate to production and engineering employees on maintenance, break down issues, and any problems that arise, and work as a team to develop an appropriate course of actionDemonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care and encourage others to maintain housekeeping standardsEssential CriteriaDemonstrated commitment to safe work practicesMulti-skilled operator with experience operating at least two of the following pieces of equipment - dump truck, excavator, dozer, loader, grader, and drillExperience as an Open Cut Mine Operator in an open cut coal mineProven ability to build proactive relationships and to work as part of a teamWillingness to work a Monday to Friday night shift roster.Current NSW Drivers LicenseDesirable CriteriaExperience operating Excavator, Loaders, or DozersWorking with The Bloomfield GroupThe Bloomfield Group is a proud and successful Australian mining and engineering group.
