The company services customers ranging from the worlds great resource and mining conglomerates to leaders in international aerospace and defence technology.We are currently seeking trade assistants for our established engineering workshop in Bassendean for an immediate start. This will suit an energetic person who takes pride in their work and work area, is punctual, has excellent communication skills, is a team player, and is looking to take on the responsibilities of a TA in a busy workshop.Key Responsibilities:Perform maintenance tasks where required, seeking maintenance departments assistance where necessary;Ensure job cards are signed off when work is completed by yourself and your supervisor;Clean and prepare working surfaces;Positioning Items in machines;Assembling and dismantling items as needed for the process;Examines parts for cleanliness and previous inspection clearances;Completes appropriate paperwork for each item being heat treated;Maintain good housing and practice 5S in the department;Conduct jigs and fixtures for regular inspection.The successful applicant will:Be highly motivated;Adhere to the Hofmann Safety Management System;Contribute to a culture committed to continuous improvement;Be able to work as part of a team and alone.Skills/Experience:At least 2 years experience in a similar role;Forklift ticket and experience are highly desirable;Good Practical Skills;Ability to work methodically and efficiently;Ability to follow detailed instructions and use technical equipment;Awareness of safety and quality standards;Good numeracy and computer skills.Benefits & Culture:Permanent positions are available;15% Shift Allowance on Afternoon Shift;30% Shift Allowance on Night Shift;Opportunities for career development;Gym facility;The ability to work in a friendly and committed team environment;The ability to obtain nationally recognised training such as: Confined space, Working at Heights;Senior first aid and dogging tickets through continuous upskilling.Your application will include the following questions:How many years'' experience do you have as a trades assistant?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Which of the following forklift licences do you have?Do you have a current licence to perform dogging (DG)? #J-18808-Ljbffr
