Scalable to billions of transactions and flexible to manage various unique data sources, NTS holistically examines scenarios across multiple venues and asset classes.We are currently seeking a Software Developer Specialist (Java) with experience in back-end Java development to initially join a dedicated project team to deliver a new industry leading surveillance product. This fast paced and time critical project requires an experienced Software Developer Senior Specialist with previous experience in capital markets, preferably in trading, clearing or surveillance functions.The role is suitable for candidates who are not afraid of working with ambiguity, is resilient and able to pivot quickly through multiple solutions to meet demanding and changing requirements.This is a permanent full-time role based in Singapore following a hybrid work model setup (at least 2 in office days per week).You can expect an autonomous but fast-paced work environment where you are recognized for your results and ability to drive things forward. Every day brings many opportunities to learn & grow and rewards with a global impact we create.In return, you will receive a competitive salary package, incredible private health insurance, employee stock purchase plan, a global mentoring program, counseling through our Employee Assistance Program, gym sponsorship and more.What You Will DoDesign, develop, troubleshoot and implement software for Nasdaq Trade Surveillance teamTake high-level architecture and design models from architects and implement them through detailed design and codeParticipate in technical design, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and code reviews.Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code.Provide implementation and production support for new product rolloutWhat We ExpectAt least 6 years of software development experienceExperience working with multiple asset classes (equity, commodities, fixed income) in a high transaction volume environmentExperience working with multiple data structures and mappings in a backend JAVA applicationProven problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsProficient understanding development tooling such as Git, Confluence, JIRA, IntelliJ, GitHub Co-PilotExpertise in Linux operating system.Bachelor/Master in computer scienceWhat Would Be HelpfulExperience working with AWS technology and servicesPrevious experience as a DevOps engineer.Does It Sound Like You?Please follow through by clicking the Apply link and submitting your application.
