As a medium-sized team, they focus on fostering a collaborative and progressive workplace culture.Job DescriptionProvide expert advice on workplace relations matters, including awards, agreements, and employment legislation.Develop and implement workplace relations strategies and policies.Manage and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.Lead negotiations for enterprise agreements and other workplace arrangements.Conduct investigations into workplace grievances and disputes.Provide training and guidance to managers on workplace relations practices.Collaborate with the broader human resources team to support organisational goals.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workplace relations trends and legislative changes.The Successful ApplicantMust have:Solid experience in workplace/employee relations (not just generalist HR with minor ER exposure)Comfort operating in NSW industrial law and Fair Work frameworksAbility to manage investigations, performance issues, and workplace disputesNice to have:Prior experience in local or state governmentExperience with union engagement (USU)Understanding of agency/contingent workforce issuesOpen to:Candidates from outside public sector (if experienced in WR)Candidates with union backgrounds (brings helpful perspective)Part-time consultants (3-4 days/week) or contractorsWhat''s on OfferA competitive salary package ranging from $135,000 to $150,000 AUD + Super.Generous leave entitlements and access to additional benefits.A collaborative and supportive workplace culture.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Workplace Relations Manager to make a meaningful impact in the public sector.
