Our environmental services assistants play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and patient care.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and hygienic ward and unit environment in line with Infection Control and Workplace Health and Safety regulations. Under the guidance of the Environmental Services Coordinators, you will provide essential operational support across the hospital.Joining our team, you will be responsible for:Highest standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres.Ensure all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areasWorking in a friendly and supportive manner at all timesAdhere to all infection control guidelines and principles.About YouPrior experience in a cleaning role within a healthcare setting is desirableAvailability to work morning / afternoon / evening and weekend shifts requiredProven ability to work effectively in a team structure and independently as requiredUnderstanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and proceduresProven experience with hazard identificationUnderstanding of hygiene principles.Flexible to work a rotating roster with a variety of shifts available [Desirable]Additionally, you will:Perform all cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards and equipment [Desirable].Perform laundry tasks, decontaminate all bins, and securely manage the Clinical Waste [Desirable].Identifies risks and hazards and reports promptly to ensure that safety measures are maintained.Perform other adhoc duties as required and requested by management.About UsSunshine Coast University Private Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care, a global operator of private hospitals and primary care clinics with over 70 Australian sites employing over 34,000 people.
