We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team and help us grow our talent while maintaining a strong organizational culture.Job Summary:We are seeking a strategic and experienced Finance Manager to join our executive leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting across multiple funding streams.As a key advisor to the CEO and Board, the Finance Manager will provide high-level financial insight to support decision-making and ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organisation. This position plays a critical role in managing funding, maintaining strong financial controls, and aligning financial strategy with our mission to support apprentices, trainees, and local employers.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic financial leadership to the CEO and Board, contributing to organisational planning and long-term sustainability.Lead the development and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.Oversee financial operations including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management.Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legislative, and contractual obligations, including government funding agreements.Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board, auditors, and funding bodies.Maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures in line with audit and risk management frameworks.Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.Manage insurance, Information technology and compliance of ISO (International Organization for Standardisation).Liaise with auditors, banks, and external consultants as required.Support strategic decision-making by providing financial modelling, risk analysis, and business case evaluations.Monitor and report on key financial metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability across all programs.Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.CA or CPA accreditation (or equivalent) is essential.Minimum of 710 years of senior finance experience, including strategic financial management and reporting.Proven experience in the not-for-profit, education, training, or community services sector is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of government funding models, grants, and associated compliance/reporting requirements.Demonstrated ability to work with Boards, auditors, and executive leadership on governance and financial oversight.Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.High level of integrity, accountability, and a commitment to the mission of workforce development and youth employment.What We Offer:Be part of an organisation that makes a real difference in the lives of young people through employment and training opportunities.Join the executive leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future direction and financial sustainability of the organisation.Join a collaborative, mission-driven team that values integrity, transparency, and community impact.Work in a stable, respected organisation with long-term government and industry partnerships.How to Apply:Please submit a cover letter and your up-to-date resume via SeekClosing Date: 31 July 2025Equal Opportunity Employer:GetCareers is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and encourages applications from Indigenous Australians, Non-Indigenous Australians, and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds.
