It also assists with fixed assets, credit control, and general accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with company policies.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience and knowledge in the key areas defined below:Monthly Reporting: Assist in the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.Financial Close: Support month-end and year-end closing activities in collaboration with the HUB team.Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review ledger accounts, preparing corrective journals as needed.Payroll Processing: Review payroll journal exports and coordinate uploads into SAP via the HUB team.Cashflow Management: Update and monitor cashflow forecasts and actuals, ensuring alignment with operational plans.Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring compliance with company policies and Australian tax requirements.Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure timely payments.Credit Control Support: Work with the Credit Controller and Finance Manager to manage customer credit limits and support release decisions.Audit Support: Provide documentation and reconciliations for external audits and respond to audit queries.General Accounting: Support ad-hoc financial tasks, contribute to process improvements, and provide backup for finance team members.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSYou will also possess the following:Degree or bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification (preferred)Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting or management reportingProficiency in SAP or similar ERP systemsStrong understanding of Australian taxation and BAS requirementsAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS)Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team and meet tight deadlinesHOW TO APPLYSafetech is an equal opportunity employer.
