We work closely with growers and key stakeholders to ensure the Australian cotton industry remains competitive, sustainable, and highly regarded.Our mission is to support the industry through strategic leadership, robust research and development, credible environmental reporting, and sound policy implementation.About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and driven individual to join our team as a myBMP (Sustainability) Implementation Officer. This position is focused on significantly accelerating the adoption and implementation of myBMP, the Australian cotton industrys cornerstone Best Management Practice program. myBMP plays a critical role in supporting the industrys sustainability goals, providing a framework for transparent and traceable environmental performance. The role does require extensive travel within all NSW cotton growing regions.Key Responsibilities Increase the number of myBMP/Better Cotton certified farms across Australia (Key Performance Indicator) Grow the number of farmers registered in the myBMP program (Key Performance Indicator) Lead the coordination and rollout of myBMP training and implementation initiatives Develop regionally tailored engagement strategies and certification targets Strengthen and support existing grower networks to ensure timely access to resources, training, and guidance for successful myBMP certificationAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will demonstrate: A passion for sustainable agriculture and rural development Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in building relationships with farmers High self-motivation, initiative, and effective time management A proven ability to deliver outcomes independently and as part of a team Experience in rural sales, agribusiness development, or promotion of programs/concepts is advantageous Experience in developing and delivering education/training materials is desirable but not essential Formal qualifications in agriculture, agribusiness, marketing, or relevant industry experience Strong problem-solving ability and the empathy to assist growers with practical on-farm solutions A current drivers licence and willingness to undertake extensive regional travelThis is a one-year contract position requiring regular travel across key cotton-growing regions of NSW.
