This is a rare opportunity to become part of a reputable firm that has proudly served the Gippsland region for decades.We are seeking a candidate with 5+ years PAE in family law who can confidently manage a varied and complex caseload, provide strategic advice to clients, and contribute to the continued growth of our family law practice.Your RoleAs a Senior Family Lawyer, you will:Advise and represent clients across a broad range of family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce, spousal maintenance, child support, and financial agreements.Draft and settle court documents, affidavits, and correspondence.Appear in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and liaise with Counsel and experts as required.Engage in negotiation, mediation, and dispute resolution processes.Supervise junior staff (if applicable) and provide mentorship within the team.Assist with file management, practice development, and contribute to firm initiatives.What Were Looking ForMinimum 5 years post-admission experience in family law (more senior applicants encouraged to apply).Strong knowledge of the Family Law Act 1975, court rules, and relevant legislation.Confident in advocacy, negotiation, and managing sensitive client matters with professionalism.Excellent written and oral communication skills.A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.A genuine passion for helping families navigate complex legal issues.What We OfferA competitive salary commensurate with experience.Supportive work environment with autonomy and flexibility.Career advancement opportunities within a growing regional practice.Access to continuing legal education and development.Friendly and close-knit team culture.Private office and convenient parking.About UsTaylor and Barnes Solicitors Pty Ltd is a respected regional firm known for its integrity, client care, and strong family capability.
