At Newell Street Cafe, we strive to maintain a very high standard of food, beverage and customer service, to create memorable experiences for our guests and our team.The Supervisor''s role here is to help maintain high standards of quality and consistency that our customers expect, assist the Venue Manager with their duties if required, along with the day-to-day cafe operations.The Supervisor position at Newell Street Cafe requires; Minimum 2 years specialty cafe or restaurant experience Queensland RSA certificate Have a high standard of customer service Experience in a similar role Excellent communication skills An attitude towards constant improvement Ability to work in busy environment Ability to supervise trainees or floor staffThe Supervisor Duties includes but not limited to; Assist the Venue Manager when required Communicate effectively with the team and customers Supervising and assisting floor staff in their duties Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders Maintain safe, clean and organised work spaces Ensure dining facility complies with health regulations and are clean, functional and of exceptional appearance Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and serviceDuties may also include assisting the Venue Manager role with: Attend team management meetings Rostering according to the demands and budget of the cafe Electing, training and supervising floor staff Arranging the purchasing and pricing of products according to budget Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions Reporting duties including Cost of GoodsThis is a full-time contract position, salary dependent on experience, between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum.
