Our values, culture, and leadership along with the longevity of work and career opportunities enables GMS to attract and retain industry leading talent.We are the Genesis of a new growth story in West Australian gold... come and be a part of our story.About the roleGMS would like to employ a Warehouse Officer to oversee and maintain warehouse inventory levels, ensuring goods are stored in accordance with guidelines and regulatory standards. In addition, the role is responsible for the efficient movement of materials to and from the warehouse are accurately captured.Provide customer service as main point of warehouse contact including to the staging of materials, picking of goods, processing sales orders, freight requests and notifying end users of orders received on site.Communicate effectively with other departments such as processing and maintenance to support their material requirements for scheduled work and process parts returns when required.Work closely with maintenance planning teams to support logistics, material and staging requirements for major events such as shutdowns.Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors, in collaboration with the purchasing department.Work closely with purchasing department to ensure alignment on inventory and forecast requirements.Promptly investigate and resolve queries that arise from issues including but not limited to incorrect stock balances, discrepancies arising between invoice and goods receipt, or other queries raised by accounts payable or purchasing.Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies for the delivery and shipment of goods.Generate regular warehouse reports to monitor stock below minimum hold levels and work with purchasing to expedite materials.Schedule and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials and resolve any issues related to delivery delays or freight delivery/manifest discrepanciesCoordinate hotshots for critical freight and/or breakdown requirementsUse forklifts and other material handling equipment to unload incoming trucks and load outgoing freight.Ensure warehouse Mobile Plant and Equipment pre-start inspections are completed and any maintenance or safety concerns are addressed promptly.About youSignificant warehousing experience, preferably within mining operationsExperience using Pronto and/or equivalent ERP systems as well as MS OfficeProficient in managing repairable goods processes.A good understanding of inventory control and/or purchasing.What you can expect from usA caring and supportive culture.Professional and positive team environment.A ''grow our own'' approach with a preference to develop and promote internally.Access to professional development activities and educational assistance.Competitive salary and options for salary sacrificingOur team lives by the ASPIRE Values Accountable.
