Our passion for glass ensures we lead the industry, providing high quality products and innovative solutions for industrial, residential and commercial applications.Reporting to the Sales Centre Manager, we are currently looking to fill the role of Driver / Glass Worker based at our Devonport site. This is a permanent full-time position, and will ideally suit a hands-on, self-motivated person with experience in the manufacturing industry.This role will be a split between glass handling and production work and deliveries throughout the Northern half of the State.What we offer:Established, successful company undergoing unprecedented growthWork with a results-driven and passionate teamGuided by supportive managementAustralian owned and operated business producing high quality glassAbove Award wages and opportunity for overtimeOngoing training & supportShift Times:Monday Friday, 6:30am to 3pmResponsibilities:Delivery RunsOperating local deliveries to our customersLoading and unloading glass productsUnpacking of glass products and stock movement around the factoryOperate truck safely according to Viridian requirementsChampion a safety first culture in pursuit of a zero harm environmentGlass ProductionCutting float and laminate glass by hand and by machineUsing an overhead gantry crane for loading and unloading of glassUsing a forklift for loading and unloading of glassEdging and polishing of flat glassManual handling and processing of glass productsKey requirements to succeed in the role:Previous processing, manufacturing or production experience is desirableCurrent MR licence is requiredForklift licence would be an asset but is not essentialKnowledge of the glass industry would be an advantageOur ideal candidates will have:Ability to understand and follow detailed production schedulesAbility to work autonomously and within a team environmentAbility to problem solveSafety conscious, ensuring a safe work environmentPositive attitude, willingness to learn and a team playerHands on, quality focused and driven with a high attention to detailHow to apply:Apply online today via Seek with a cover letter and resume.
