Senior Worker - Accommodation Services FacilitiesAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsAre you ready to make a difference in the community?We are seeking a permanent, part-time (60.85 hours fortnightly) Senior Worker Accommodation Services position based in the North West. This role will be Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm.What you will be doing in this role:Assessing potential tenants and providing information and support across a range of issues (e.g. health, employment, income, community resources).Developing case plans, coordinating support services, and maintaining accurate records (SHIP).Offering emotional support and crisis intervention, and advocating for tenants when needed.Supervising junior staff and contributing to service planning, policy development, reporting, and program evaluation.Supporting team culture through participation in meetings, training, planning activities, and mentoring.Promoting the service and maintaining stakeholder networks.Ensuring safety by adhering to WHS procedures.What we can offer you:$91,567.84 to $95,974.32 (Full-time equivalent) plus super + salary sacrifice;a 7% Graduate Loading payable where you hold a degree in a relevant discipline;A dynamic, fast-paced environment;Opportunities for personal and professional growth;Collaborative team culture.You must have:Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues relating to homelessness such as: poverty, unemployment, health, family violence, substance use and other social factors which impact on vulnerable or at-risk people.An understanding of the concepts of social justice, social change and empowerment, and their application.Experience in case-management including appropriate responses and actions to tenant feedback and tenant participation strategies.Participation in a professional team environment including team de-briefing, program planning activities and a variety of other team based consultative processes.Possess effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to conduct interviews and assessments, provide crisis intervention, advocacy, counselling, problem solving, mediation and conflict resolution as required.Comprehensive knowledge of the community services and resources available for tenants.High level initiative, problem solving and resilience skills including the ability to maintain a positive outlook, see the bigger picture, identify opportunities and implement solutions.Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to effectively set priorities and manage assigned caseloads.Well-developed writing skills including the ability to maintain accurate, professional case-notes, write reports, prepare correspondence and provide required information within program guidelines.Computer skills, in particular the ability to operate word processing and database management software packages Completion of either a Social Work Degree or other tertiary qualification deemed equivalent, and/or clearly demonstrated experienceApplicants are required to have a current First Aid Level II Certificate.The successful applicant will be required to:provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check;present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical;provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.APPLICATIONS CLOSE: FRIDAY, 1st August 2025, at 6.00pm.If you are interested in reading the position description and joining our team, please click on the ''Apply'' button.
