Mental Health Clinicians & Intake CoordinatorWe are currently seeking passionate and qualified mental health professionals to join our team at the Head to Health Baw Baw Hub in Warragul with opportunities available for:Provisional PsychologistCounsellorMental Health Occupational TherapistIntake CoordinatorGreat Regional Location.Above Award Rates (negotiable - based on skills, experience and classification mapping)Part-time (all roles): 3-4 days per week (0.6 to 0.8 FTE)Fixed-term positions until 30 June 2026 (potential for on-going extension).About Head to Health - Baw Baw HubWe provide free, client-centred, short-term mental health support to people of all ages across the Baw Baw, La Trobe, Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires.Our multi-disciplinary team includes psychologists, mental health nurses, social workers, counsellors, peer workers, occupational therapists and more.Mental health support is provided onsite via face-to-face appointments at the Warragul Specialist Centre or via telehealth options in light of client preferences.We work closely with local GPs and community mental health providers to ensure clients receive seamless and coordinated care.About the RolesAs a Mental Health Clinician, you will provide therapeutic support to clients with mild to moderate mental health needs. You will manage a caseload and deliver:Intake and risk assessments.Brief interventions and care planning.Evidence-based therapeutic support (within your scope).Service navigation and warm referrals to tertiary mental health services, including emergency care or community-based/in-patient mental health services if needed.Youll be part of a well-supported, experienced team and work primarily onsite in Warragul, with some scope for remote work depending on the role and approval.The Intake Coordinator is the first point of contact for all referrals. This dynamic role involves:Managing intake referrals via phone, email, walk-ins and self-referrals.Answering and responding to Hub phone calls, appointment scheduling, admin support and documentation.Conducting basic mental health Safety Checks (as appropriate).Assisting with intake assessments (if qualified).This is a client-facing, administrative and coordination role requiring high-level interpersonal skills, empathy and efficiency.
