This position is a key member of the Business Services department, and the wider TSO, and provides accurate, timely payroll and accounting services. Prior experience in payroll and accounts is required, as are strong organisational skills and a positive and solutions-oriented mindset this role would suit a finance professional who wishes to apply their knowledge and skills to a creative, not-for-profit cultural organisation. CPA status (or equivalent) will be strongly regarded; whether already completed or currently underway TSO welcomes the opportunity to support those currently studying via the provision of study leave. A full position description, selection criteria, and information on how to apply can be found on our website.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPayroll|Prepare and process TSOs fortnightly payroll (approximately 75-100 employees) including:Maintain employee masterfiles in Access MicroPayUnderstand and apply relevant Enterprise Agreement conditionsSeek, interpret, and process employee timesheets and process fortnightly payrollPrepare payment authoritiesPrepare and calculate leave liabilitiesPrepare and submit superannuation returns through Media SuperPay relevant end-of month deductionsPrepare statistical reportingUndertake year-end processingRemain up to date with relevant legislative updates and requirementsAct as a knowledgeable point of contact for TSO employees regarding payroll matters or queriesAccounts |Process Accounts Payable and associated tasks including:Liaison with staff on classification of expenditure and ensuring all invoices are verified, authorised, and costed appropriatelyProcess and pay all invoicesProcess monthly credit card transactionsComplete bank reconciliationsEnter journals as requiredMaintain and process prepayments workbooksReporting|Assist the Director Business Services with tasks including:Preparation of monthly and annual financial reportingPreparation of annual FBT ReturnPreparation of Creative Australia reporting and acquittalsPrepare balance sheet reconciliationsOther tasks as required and in alignment with skillsetThe Business Services team consists of the Director Business Services, the Business Services Manager, and some additional support via a casual Accounts assistant.
