Add expected salary to your profile for insightsAn experienced Building/Maintenance Manager is required for themaintenance and supervision of The Moorings, a unique high quality residential complex of 46 apartments situated on the banks of the Swan River in North Fremantle.We seek an energetic, self-motivated Manager who will be hands on and competent in all areas of general, gardens and pool maintenance across the Body Corporate Common Property. The successful applicant will be someone who is personable and at ease in engaging with residents, while capable of directing and overseeing contractors and consultants.The Manager reports to the Council of Owners and manages two part-time employees who assist in administration and gardening at the complex.A competitive package will be provided, including the option of accommodation at The Moorings at a reasonable rental. The role may suit someone who is recently retired and a flexible, less than full time contract could be considered.Duties of Building Manager include, but are not limited to: General duties include management, maintenance, gardening and administration Managing and reviewing practical preventative maintenance plans Coordinating and supervising external contractors and skilled tradespersons (external contractors maintain gardens, reticulation systems, lifts, security and fire services, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, etc) Carrying out minor maintenance repairs to Common Property areas, such as foyers, pool, garden reticulation, carparks, etc) Ensuring all areas of the buildings are compliant with the relevant regulations Liaising with owners, contractors and the Council of Owners during renovations Attending to after-hours emergencies Performing caretaking and building duties, preparing Building Manager reports and attending Council of Owners meetings Liaising and working with the Council of Owners, including arranging quotes, payments and administration Other relevant duties involved in maintaining and managing the buildings and common propertyTo apply for this role, you should: Be experienced in building management and maintenance Preferably have a relevant trade qualification Be a proactive, highly organised individual with good verbal and written communication skills withgood computer knowledge Have good managerial abilities and be hands on at the same time Have a current police clearance.To apply, please submit your resume and include details of relevant experiences and personal skills to [emailprotected] by Friday 14th July 2025.
