They are a centre of excellence in red meat processing and have more than 100 employees.Business ManagerDue to structural changes and alignment, Radfords have created a role for a dynamic and experienced Business Manager to join the Executive Leadership Team.This newly established position will report to the General Manager and work hands on in the finance function along with playing a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Administration, Human Resources, IT and Marketing functions of the business.As a key member of the leadership team, the Business Manager will work collaboratively to ensure these essential functions operate efficiently and effectively together and in collaboration with and support of the broader business.We''ll negotiate a generous package with the successful candidate. This will be in recognition of the scope of this role as well as your experience, skills and the like.Specifically, the key responsibilities of this role are:Financial Management (including preparing and managing the annual budget; preparing and presenting weekly and monthly financial reporting and trading estimates; and other adhoc and planned reporting requested by (or of use to) the General Manager, the board or other members of the leadership team with improved decision making);Management Reporting and Guidance (including working with the management team to develop consistent reporting and processes; assisting managers to review, understand and analyse reporting; and analysis of labour to production output);Strategic and Business Planning (including preparing the annual business plan and the 5-year rolling strategic plan);Team Leadership and Development of the HR/Workers Compensation, Administration and IT team (currently this is a team of 3);Compliance and Risk Management (including ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards; introduction, and ongoing oversight, of a structured risk management program, use the program to analyse and prioritise risks; and monitor updates to policies and regulations that may impact the business, implementing necessary changes across the business;Information Technology (including managing the IT contract; leading IT projects upcoming project in upgrading production software); andCommercial Activities (including assisting sales team with the financial aspects of their deals; negotiate supply agreements and contracts; and identify threats and opportunities in the marketplace).Along with the opportunity to work flexibly (where suitable from a business perspective), the following will be available for the successful candidate Performance based bonus / incentives; andRelocation assistance is available.Note: Should you be seeking additional benefits, please bring these to us for consideration.You bring at least 5 years in a similar role;Industry experience would be a real advantage (and preferred) or otherwise you bring experience in a manufacturing environment;Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Financial, Accounting or a related field (Master''s preferred);Proficiency in financial management and strategic planning; accomplished in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, including creating and managing budgets and forecasting;Proven experience in preparing reports and analysing data to solve problems, provide recommendations and make decisions;Significant demonstrated management and leadership experience and skills, in building relationships and change management; andIdeally you have had worked with (from a leadership perspective) HR professionals, and have knowledge of areas such as employee relations, Workcover & OHS and awards and EBAs.How to apply:Please apply using the Apply button, including both your resume and application letter, addressing the key selections criteria.
