Youll be responsible for undertaking research and development tasks, contributing and providing support with the administration of Ordinary and Extraordinary Local Government Elections, as well as maintaining the Citys Policy and Compliance Frameworks.About YouYoull have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or five years experience in a similar role with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments within the organisation.Selection CriteriaAdvanced written communication skills with the ability to undertake research and prepare written reports.Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.Proven ability to apply excellent attention to detail and complete tasks to a high level of accuracy.Ability to work under direction to achieve high quality results by taking a shared responsibility for setting priorities, organising workloads and meeting prescribed or self-imposed deadlines in a team environment.Developed time management skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks.Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy.Ability to work after hours as required.Proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office Apps.Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.A good knowledge and understanding of the Local Government Act 1995 and other legislation relevant to local government (desirable).Hours of WorkThis is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 75 hours per fortnight.About the BenefitsThis position offers a salary range of $89,483 - $104,458 per annum, (dependant on skills and experience) plus superannuation.Other benefits include annual increments, annual salary increases, a generous superannuation co-contribution scheme and 22 days annual leave which attracts 17.5% loading.
