Acquired by Kamamoto Inc. in 2020, the Porter Group has built long-term relationships across various industries with brands including Porter Plant and Madica. A recent strategic move has created an opportunity to recruit a new CFO. The role reports directly to the Managing Director and oversees Finance, Treasury, Legal, Commercial, and Property areas. This is an exciting time to join the Porter Group as it expands its network of branches and product offerings. The CFO will be central in developing and executing the Groups growth strategies from a financial, strategic, and commercial perspective.Key responsibilities include:Developing and implementing financial strategies to support growth, including budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and financial modeling.Providing expert advice to senior leadership to optimize performance and mitigate risks.Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and reporting obligations, including ASIC and ATO.Meeting internal reporting needs with accurate and timely financial information, including month-end, quarterly, and annual accounts, with analysis and commentary.Maintaining and enhancing the integrity of the Groups financial systems and internal controls.Developing reporting systems to meet evolving business needs, including asset and branch performance.Managing Treasury obligations to ensure adequate funding for growth and reporting for lenders.Maintaining a robust risk management environment, including compliance, internal controls, and governance.Managing the property portfolio, both owned and leased.Providing leadership and managing the Finance Team to ensure role requirements are met.To be successful, you will need to be:CA/CPA qualifiedExperience in plant hire and construction industries or equivalentExperience in contract-based or asset-intensive businessesBackground in medium to large organizations with multi-site operationsHighly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize multiple projectsA team player with technical acumen, pragmatic, and solutions-focusedStrong commercial and financial skillsData-driven, decisive, and execution-focusedUnderstanding of business drivers to enhance company performanceCurious and proactive with a sense of urgencyLocation and benefits:Located 11 km from Ballarat CBDAttractive remuneration based on qualifications and experienceOn-site parkingSupportive and experienced finance teamInterested?
