Join to apply for the Addiction Medicine/Psychiatrist Consultant role at Western Health1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Addiction Medicine/Psychiatrist Consultant role at Western HealthGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Location: Drug Health Services (Footscray)Employment Type: Part-TimeLocation: Drug Health Services (Footscray)Employment Type: Part-TimeSalary: HN58 classification codeOpportunity for a dynamic Addiction Psychiatrist or Addiction Medicine Specialist to join the team at Western Health.This is a permanent, part-time role (0.65FTE/22.5 hours per week).The role of the Consultant is to provide high quality clinical care and clinical leadership for the patients and staff of Drug Health Services and Western Health.Drug Health Services is the Specialist Addiction Service of Western Health, offering innovative and diverse programs that include Specialist programs for Adults, Womens and Childrens Services, Youth and Family Services, Dual Diagnosis Services, Residential Withdrawal and Rehabilitation Services, Specialist Outpatient Clinics, Custodial Programs and Hospital Inpatient Addiction Medicine Services.Addiction Medicine/Psychiatry Consultants support patients and staff across these programs by providing expert clinical care and clinical direction. Consultants are supported to hold a range of leadership portfolios. The consultant will join a team of eight other consultants, eight registrars, three HMOs and six nurse practitioners as part of a large addiction medicine team and strong specialist training program.To Be Successful In This Role, You WillHave recognised qualifications as a Consultant Psychiatrist (FRANZCP, Advance Certificate in Addiction Psychiatry preferred) or Addiction Medicine (FAChAM).Have well-developed professional communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to professional development of self and others. A demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and delivery of evidence-based best care is essential.
