We are currently recruiting a Senior Business Partner HR to the Townsville Logistics (TL) and Townsville Marine Logistics (TML) teams, to support both organisations across all locations.The successful candidate will be the go-to person for all industrial relations matters, as well as an important member of the HR & Comms team, bringing all facets of employee engagement and performance to life.This critical role offers a balance of strategy and operational work, perfect for a person with a passion for getting stuff done and thriving in a dynamic environment.You will lead a small team of professionals delivering HR and Payroll services, and be part of a broader support services network.Your ability to manage operational matters effectively, whilst also thinking strategically about improvements and our future will be what sets you apart from other candidates.You will drive effective communication and engagement with employees directly as well as through the leadership structure.Cyclical HR processes will fall under your remit while you also supporting future growth strategies.You will utilise your industrial relations experience and insight to ensure sound and proactive industrial relations practices are maintained and aligned with our strategic objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with labour laws, fostering positive employee relations, and interfacing with all relevant unions to ensure the successful delivery of our operations, and future Enterprise Agreement negotiations.Due to the nature of the role and our operations there may be the requirement to support after hours meetings and calls, therefore flexibility is encouraged. Some domestic travel will also be required.If you are looking for a role that allows you to work on the frontline delivering results, as well as sitting around a boardroom discussing growth strategies, driving change, and delivering a high-performance culture, we''d love to hear from you.About the Role:Advise, coach, and support operational leaders and HR colleagues in all areas people, culture and performance.Provide timely, pragmatic advice and guidance to the business on industrial relations matters; including the interpretation and application of industrial instruments.Manage and provide advice and guidance to the business on the management of disputes and workplace issues.Lead the planning, preparation, management and execution of EA negotiations.Lead and support business transformation/change projects.Liaise with internal legal counsel in relation to EA negotiations, dispute resolution, and legislative matters.Participate in the development and implementation of HR projects designed to nurture and develop employee engagement and performance.Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of internal systems, strategies, policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes which provide an effective, consistent, and timely delivery of HR services.Coach and support leaders in the application of the performance management, misconduct, and disciplinary processes.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceTertiary or post graduate qualification in relevant field desirable, or extensive relevant industry experience.Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar industrial environment.Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant employment/industrial laws, and proven experience in understanding and interpreting EAs and awards.Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary HR practices and proven experience in supporting and advising on organisational transformation and change programs.Excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills with the ability to work across front line and senior management groups.Applicants must have the right to work in Australia without restriction and be able to meet Maritime Security requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
