With exciting strategic priorities ahead, including a major ERP implementation, the organisation is seeking an executive leader who can help shape the future of service delivery in regional Queensland.This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a role with true regional impact, working alongside dedicated teams who are passionate about their communities.For more information, please visit our website: the OpportunityBarcaldine Regional Council is looking for a full-time Director of Corporate & Community Services based in Barcaldine, QLD.Reporting to the CEO, this role is accountable for overseeing corporate services, including finance, systems, governance, and community-facing operations across five regional townships.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting and guiding the Finance team while systems are strengthenedLeading organisational transformation, including oversight of a whole-of-council ERP implementationProviding strong executive visibility through monthly visits to depots and admin centresMaintaining a presence across five towns and balancing regional service equityBuilding effective relationships across internal teams, the Council, and the wider communityDriving transparency, accountability, and community engagement from the executive levelChampioning local government service delivery with a focus on responsiveness and trustLeading governance and financial compliance activities in collaboration with the Council and stakeholdersEnsuring all communities feel heard and represented in executive decision-makingRepresenting BRC at forums, meetings, and stakeholder events as requiredAbout YouWe''re looking for a well-rounded leader with extensive leadership experience, a strong background in finance, and the ability to build meaningful relationships across regional communities.
