Our operations are supported by over 200 full-time equivalent staff dedicated to excellence in service.About the roleThe Payroll Advisor plays a vital role in the provision and facilitation of timely, compliant, and trusted specialist payroll services and advice across North East Water. This includes:Fortnightly payroll processes.Month-end and year-end processes.Payment of Payroll, PAYG, Superannuation and other payroll deductions.Liaising with and completing payroll reporting for regulatory bodies.Extracting data from the payroll system to support a range of reports that assist with monitoring the human resource performance of the Corporation.Facilitating system upgrades and/or configuration changes as required.Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, Enterprise Agreement, and internal policies.Processing payroll changes throughout the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.Reviewing and maintaining the accuracy of data entered within the payroll system, data cleansing as required.Undertaking User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and configuration of our payroll system.Providing ongoing troubleshooting and support for issues that arise regarding payroll.This role is a full-time ongoing opportunity, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.In this role you will be part of our People & Culture team and supported by backfill options for busy periods and leave coverage.Key Selection CriteriaTo be in consideration for this position please address in your application how you meet the following key selection criteria:Your experience in delivering and end-to-end payroll process for a high number of employees, including knowledge of a payroll system, tax, and superannuation processes.Your high-level knowledge, understanding and interpretation of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and Industrial relations legislative requirements.Your demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build rapport and liaise with employees across the business.Your ability to manage processes within specified times and with superior attention to detail.Your ability to show initiative and promote new ways of thinking and encourage continuous improvement.Were committed to creating a comfortable and inclusive environment for all candidates.
