This hands-on role involves a wide range of outdoor maintenance tasks and requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including mowing, edging, hedge trimming, weeding, and pruningAssist with beautification of school gardens, landscaped areas, and outdoor spacesOperate and maintain gardening and maintenance equipment such as mowers, whipper snippers, blowers, and hedge trimmersRubbish removal and general site tidiness, including cleaning outdoor areas and pathsSupport minor property repairs and maintenance as directed by the Property ManagerAssist with school event setup/pack down (e.g. moving furniture, setting up marquees or signage)Identify and report hazards or maintenance issues to the Property ManagerWork safely and comply with all WHS requirements and school policiesAny other tasks required of them by the Principal or his delegateThis part-time (3 days per week) position is expected to start as soon as possible.Essential Criteria:Profess Christian faith and be an active member of a Bible believing Christian churchPrevious experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor/manual workPhysically fit and capable of undertaking strenuous manual tasks in all weather conditionsBasic knowledge of gardening tools and equipmentAbility to follow instructions and work efficientlyStrong attention to detail and pride in keeping spaces neat and well-presentedReliable, punctual, and committed to supporting the schools values and team cultureWillingness to obtain/hold a Working with Children CheckDrivers licence (if required for operating school vehicles or equipment)Desirable:Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Landscaping or similarFirst Aid CertificateDrivers licence MR or greater to operate school busesBenefitsAuthentic Christian vision, culture, and teamEAP Program with free counselling sessionsEmployee benefits package with 15-50% leading retail brandsGrow in your faith, skills, and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
