The Role We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Team Leader to operate as a key member of our Support Services team. In this role, you will assist the Cleaning Manager in the day-to-day supervision and management of all cleaning staff, ensuring cleaning standards meet or exceed industry best practices. This position is ideal for a proactive leader with 5+ years of cleaning experience who is eager to grow into a full management role. The role will be performed in a manner that meets or exceeds industry best practice and maintains cleaning standards in accordance with the Department of Health Cleaning Standards for Public Hospitals. You will work closely with Support Services Coordinators to ensure we maintain a committed, safe, and socially responsible multi-skilled team. Key Responsibilities * Assist the Cleaning Manager with daily operational management of cleaning staff. * Lead training, mentoring, and development of cleaning staff. * Lead and support a multi-skilled cleaning team to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. * Ensure compliance with Department of Health Cleaning Standards and hospital policies. * Collaborate closely with Support Services Coordinators to foster a safe, motivated, and socially responsible team environment. * Monitor cleaning quality and implement continuous improvement initiatives. * Contribute to inventory management and equipment maintenance.
