They have a proud 57 year history and are well known in the market place across New South Wales and beyond.They are looking for an experienced Sales/Business Development Manager who will be responsible for driving growth opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships within the construction supply industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction market, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, whilst managing a small team of enthusiastic sales support staff.This position takes responsibility for the sales systems and processes for the companys intake of new projects.You will be responsible for fostering existing customer relationships, while continuing to grow the customer base.You will be a commercially focused, self-starting team player who enjoys dealing directly with stakeholders whilst ensuring both the clients and company needs are met or exceeded.In return you will receive a competitive remuneration package + bonuses, together with fantastic career opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and decision-makersStay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential risks and opportunitiesProvide exceptional customer service, assisting appropriate customers through the sales process, listening to and analysing their needs, providing information and advice regarding products, providing solutions for enquiries and helping to guide their decision-making process prior to finalising salesAct as a point of escalation and assistance to the sales team for large-scale sales projects and sales, and/or customer enquiries/issues that need additional supportProvide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market trends to senior managementProven business and commercial acumen with a strong sales focusGeneral knowledge of basic building, engineering and insulation installation processes and terminologyExcellent written, oral communication andcustomer service skillsAbility to provide effective supervision and guidance to a small team, whilst leading by exampleWilling to grow into the role and take the time to learn the nuances of the businessYou will have fantastic working conditions being open only Monday to Friday, closed two weeks at Christmas and based in the middle of Newcastle provides easy access.
